Recognizing the urgent challenges faced by individuals experiencing homelessness, poverty, and displacement—particularly among veterans—we launched our 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to provide practical, compassionate, and sustainable solutions.
Since our inception, Urban Empact has steadily expanded its reach and impact. What began as a local initiative in Ohio has now grown to include communities across North Carolina, where the need remains critical. Our growth has been fueled by dedicated supporters, community partners, and a shared belief that everyone deserves access to stability, dignity, and opportunity.
With each step forward, we continue to build a legacy of hope, resilience, and transformation—empowering lives and strengthening communities, one person and one home at a time.

The Urban Empact team is the heart of our mission. From dedicated staff to seasonal support and community partner volunteers, every individual plays a vital role in advancing our efforts to uplift underserved communities and create sustainable pathways to success.
United by a shared commitment to compassion, dignity, and impact, our team transforms conviction into meaningful action—whether it’s distributing critical resources, supporting housing initiatives for the unhoused and displaced veterans, or engaging directly with those we serve.
We are proud to foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all. That’s why every volunteer is carefully vetted before participating in our programs—ensuring that our team members, and the communities we serve, feel secure and supported at every step.
Urban Empact welcomes volunteers from all walks of life, including individuals fulfilling educational or court-ordered community service requirements. Volunteers ages 13–17 may participate with written parental consent and/or adult supervision.
